Research

Five centers driving biomedical innovation.

Each center addresses critical areas in biomedical engineering and health technologies — from surgical robotics to mental health to smart materials.

Established

Center for Medical Robotics (CMR)

Focuses on the design, development, and testing of advanced robotic systems for medical applications, including surgical robotics, rehabilitation devices, and assistive technologies to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Establishing

Center for Brain and Mental Health Research (CBMHR)

Conducts interdisciplinary research on brain function, mental health disorders, and neurotechnologies, focusing on developing diagnostic tools, therapeutic solutions, and interventions to improve mental health care.

Establishing

Center for Movement Science and Occupational Safety Engineering (CMSOSE)

Specializes in studying human movement, biomechanics, and exercise engineering, aiming to develop innovative technologies and interventions that improve physical performance, rehabilitation, and overall well-being.

Establishing

Center for Smart and Bio-inspired Materials (CSBM)

Focuses on creating advanced materials with smart properties such as self-healing, adaptability, and responsiveness to environmental stimuli. Addresses challenges in regenerative medicine, wearable technologies, and eco-friendly solutions.
